🌍 Clinic Update – Team on Tour (and on the Run)

A quick behind-the-scenes look at what a couple of the team have been up to outside the clinic this month.

✈️ Jen – On Tour with Athletics NZ (Australia)

Jen is currently away with the New Zealand Athletics team as part of their medical support crew for the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Australia.

This is proper on-the-ground sports physio work — travelling with elite athletes, managing niggles in real time, and keeping people performing when it matters most.

We’ve also been told she’s doing an excellent job of:

  • not losing athletes

  • not losing her luggage

  • and (importantly) not getting eaten by any Australian wildlife

There is photo evidence of her safely handling a crocodile, which we’re taking as a good sign that all three boxes are still ticked.

🏃‍♀️ Helen – Racing in Cape Town, South Africa

Meanwhile, Helen is currently in Cape Town, South Africa, where she’s taking on a half marathon.

A slight change of scenery from clinic life — swapping treatment tables for race starts and doing her best to practice what we preach around load, pacing, and not doing anything too heroic in the first 5km.
