UA Run
We were designed to run, but sometimes we don’t do it well.
A bit of tightness here, weakness there and our increasingly sedentary lifestyle can all upset the balance of running and our ability to do it efficiently and importantly injury free - (stats can indicate that 70% of runners get injured each year).
Well here at Urban Athlete we are runners too, so not only do we treat loads of running injuries, but we understand the joys and frustrations of running (and not being able to run). So our running program is designed to get you back pounding the pavement.
So, whether you are just starting out and looking to run your first 5km, find yourself enrolled in a 1/2 marathon or are a seasoned marathon runner, we can advise you on the best ways to improve your running to achieve an efficient and injury-free running motion.
Mobility, strength, control and rhythm are key components to running well. We focus on using your body parts the way they were designed to work in order to improve performance and decrease running injuries.
By setting you up with a structured program, you'll have specific areas to work on when you are running which will allow you to work towards being stronger and more stable in your running. Being this type of runner will allow to you become a more fulfilled runner, a less injured runner, and thus a happier runner.
